Voices of Generosity

I introduced my friend who makes handmade journals to the cShops team. She had been struggling to find the right outlet for her work. Now she's offering her journals on cShops, and the stories of people receiving them bring her to tears. Sometimes the greatest gift is seeing two souls who should know each other finally connect.

I spent a Saturday helping package Smile Cards at the local ServiceSpace hub. What struck me wasn't the task itself — it was the conversations. We talked about why we were there, what generosity means to us, how small acts add up. I walked away with friendships I didn't expect. The time I gave came back to me tenfold.

I paid for the coffee of the person behind me in line, left a Smile Card, and thought that was it. Two weeks later, I received an email from a stranger. They had found my contact through the cShops community. The person I paid for had been having the worst day — just lost their job. That small act reminded them that strangers care. They went on to do 10 acts of kindness that week. The ripples continue.
