These heart pins were born of prayer. After a ServiceSpace retreat, some women from the slums made a profoundly heartful offering of a few hearts to invite us to pay it forward. That initial batch was stuffed from waste cloth. Volunteers would wear it on their sleeve, and if someone appreciated it, they would gift it forward to them. In that sense, the love of these women keep rippling out into the world. Soon, due to high demand, more heart pins were requested—and now it''s become a means of sustenance for some of them.

There''s something almost sacred about the process of making heart pins. Each heart pin can take an hour or two for the uninitiated—yes, we''ve tried! :)

When you wear one of these hearts, you carry the spirit of its creation. No two are alike—some are perfectly symmetrical, others charmingly lopsided. Each imperfection is a reminder that love doesn''t need to be perfect to be real. These hearts have traveled to hospital rooms, graduation ceremonies, and quiet moments of courage around the world.
