CharityFocus was a bold experiment ... an organization without any overhead, fully volunteer run. It worked. Now, we are taking that experiment to the next level. eCommerce with volunteers -- Community Shops!

cShops Purpose
We work with grassroots non-profit organizations (NPOs) to support and expand their community programs by creating an e-commerce channel through which they can sell their artisan goods and generating awareness regarding the work of the NPOs.

Vision
To develop lasting relationships with our NPO partners through service, and to allow our services, activities, and impact to grow organically.

Principles

1. Work together and enjoy the experience in service.
2. Reflect CharityFocus principles of compassionate action and the spirit of service.
3. Empower NPO capacities for serving local communities.
4. Connect consumers to communities through the stories of the artisans and NPOs.
5. Support rural artisans' economies.
6. Build a broader international distribution platform that creates a channel for NPOs to reach consumers.
7. Maintain the platform irrespective of partner NPOs, while customizing services upon request.

About CharityFocus
Since its inception three years ago, CharityFocus has been for the volunteers, of the volunteers and by the volunteers. Growing from just a handful of volunteers to over 1800 in such a short span of time, CF has managed to hold the volunteer experience at the heart of its activities. The idea is to do small things with great love, realizing that one person can make a difference, and using cutting edge technology to provide meaningful ways to give.
